Of these, the earliest is Moenjodaro, the five thousand year old site is a representative of the ancient Indus Valley civilization. Built from mud brick, Moenjodaro is famous for its giant granaries, drainage systems, and the Great Bath which measured thirty-nine by twenty-three feet.
Agriculture is responsible for employing nearly 40% of its people. Agricultural products are wheat, rice, sugarcane, fruits, vegetables, mutton, beef, milk and eggs.
Industries in Pakistan include construction materials, pharmaceuticals, fertilizer, paper products, textiles and clothing, shrimp, and food processing.
While Urdu is the national language, English is widely used in government and commerce. Other languages spoken in Pakistan include Punjabi, Sindhi, Siraiki, and Pashtu. Majority the people in Pakistan are Muslims: divided among Sunni and Shi'a sects.
Pakistani food is hot and spicy. Herbs and spices like cardamom, chilly, paprika, pepper and turmeric are used with coriander, bay leaves, ginger and garlic. Meat is barbecued, or grilled. Rice is a staple food and eaten with chicken, beef, goat and fish. Biryani is a chicken or mutton dish with rice.
